At Dreambox you’ll collaborate with recording engineer and producer John Synhavsky (aka Johnny Syn). John is the drummer for indie rock band Step Rockets and has toured internationally, playing major music festivals and sharing the stage with acts such as Bon Jovi, Blondie and Third Eye Blind. He writes and produces original music for the Humans Win Composer Agency and NBC/Universal. His music has been featured on The Today Show, Below Deck, Top Chef, Shameless and countless other TV shows and commercials. John was the chief recording engineer and manager at Quincy Street Studio in NE Minneapolis before launching Dreambox.
In 2023, John and his wife Natalie began building their longtime dream—a residential recording studio along the Mississippi River. In 2026, Dreambox Recording Studio officially opened its doors to artists seeking a space to create, collaborate, and grow. John is passionate about sharing his knowledge and love of music with people of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels. And Natalie will take you canoeing on the Mississippi River if you ask nicely. :)
